SAHASRAM - 3RD DAY RESIDENTIAL CAMP

Trekking to the Hilltop

The third day of our residential camp began with an exciting trekking adventure to a nearby hill. We had always admired it from afar, and finally, we got the chance to climb it. The fresh air, scenic views, and team spirit made it a memorable experience. We returned by 8:15 a.m. and had breakfast at 8:30 a.m.

Session 4: Illuminating Your Path

At 10:00 a.m., we attended an insightful session by Mrs. Umadevi, a freelance counsellor. We were divided into groups and given case studies to analyze. Each group identified the problems, causes, effects, and possible solutions. The session deepened our understanding of student issues and how to address them effectively.

Visit to the Old Age Home

In the afternoon, we visited a nearby old age home. The peaceful surroundings, flowering plants, and vegetable gardens created a serene atmosphere. The residents, all male, welcomed us warmly. They even had a poultry and dairy farm to meet their daily needs. One resident sang a beautiful song for us, and we also entertained them. It was a heart-warming experience that left us with lasting memories.

Session 5: Leadership Training Program

The final session of the day was conducted by Dr. Joju John, Principal of Mar Theophilos Training College, Nalanchira. It was an engaging and interactive session filled with tricky questions, fun activities, and even dance moves. We discovered our leadership potential and learned essential skills like mindfulness, adaptability, and self-confidence.

The highlight of the session was a tableau competition where we presented different situations creatively. The session ended with valuable lessons on gratitude, professionalism, and embracing opportunities.
